1. R7849A1023 (Honeywell 7800 Series – UV Flame Amplifier)
Function: A UV (Ultraviolet) flame signal amplification module designed to interface with RM78XX/EC78XX combustion controllers for flame detection in gas, oil, or combination gas/oil burners.
Core Features
Receives signals from UV detectors (such as C7027, C7035, C7044, etc.) and amplifies them into a standard 0–5 VDC flame signal.
Lacks self-check functionality (Non-Self-Check type), featuring a simple yet robust design.
Flame Failure Response Time (FFRT): Selectable at 2 seconds or 3 seconds (configured via a jumper on the side of the module).
Equipped with a flame signal test jack, allowing for direct voltage measurement to assess flame intensity.
Plug-in card design with a keyed interface; plugs directly into the 7800 series sub-base, requiring no external wiring.
Timing (Flame Detection Only; No Program Sequencing)
Responsible solely for determining the presence or absence of a flame; does not control purge or ignition sequencing. All operational timing is executed by the RM78XX main controller.
